If there were no the Bronze soldier, there would be the Bronze Hare or something else. That is an unattractive truth that outweighs even “suspended point of view”, according to which, damn you all. If Premier of Estonia “had committed a catastrophic blunder” putting by him-self the ideological weapon into hands of Moscow hunveibins, the latter could have fully done without it. For them the cause is not as important as the sound competitive spirit of patriotism.
That continues to look from the outside as a vestige of the geopolitical debates in the post-soviet area. They say, Asia, China are with Moscow. America, European Union – with Tallinn. Here you are the European choice of Russia. Fall silent, euroanlanters, it is said that euroasiancy – is a peculiar way! But what if Tallinn and joining Warsaw simply don’t want to repeat the fault of Moscow example of 1991, when more or less vegetarian politics of the first democratic wave renounced “the witch-hunt”?
Having kept many elements of the Soviet aesthetics practically without changes, the “first democrats” came to the conclusion that new contest will assign new forms. However, new forms of social being on the hymn by Alexandrov and words by Mikhalkov brought the Soviet content back. So, it may be a blue nonsense from our neighbours’ part – to recoup themselves on the postwar pedestals, but on the other hand, if Russia continues to burden them with imperial message, considering its monumental art to be a messenger in the hostile environment, may be it’s reasonable to send it to the store-room, together with these very messages?
However, this aspect does not worry much Russian hunveibins. If their Chinese forerunners – they really struggled for idea, ours – more for bucks. But bucks oblige else then convictions. That is to say bucks – more serious.
If reflections result in unpaid stoppage, bucks force steadily to be in whirl. In contrast to the views, which are only demonstration of dilettantism and can be easily changed to the contrary, political money can not be obtained free of charge in the state-capitalist Russia, it requires austere bookkeeping. In this meaning GR, today’s Russia is infected with - not only fashionable entertainment of depraved political classes, but a new dangerous present characterized by the fact, that it must go on! Drawing this modality from itself!
If there were no The Bronze soldier, there would be wrong sprat and unpatriotic trucking directions through foreign ports, as there had been before harmful borjom and polit incorrect exposition in Osventzim.
In another words everything that is concealed behind fashionable and at first sight semantically uncharged words as PR, GR – is, in fact, the usual national project financed from state budget. It’s not easy to spring out of it, since the main thing here is to teach how to launch in time the wide front of support of the first persons on this or that occasion.
But if you create the driving belts in politics, falsely supposing that you remove, in such a way, rough edges, imperfection and inefficiency of democratic institutions, you must also understand that sheaves will spin non-stop. And what is amuzement and mastering means for hunvenbins, for all taken as hostages by big politics is health disorders.
While nutcases were nearly to dismantle “the fascist Estonian embassy” and entertained with chase of the ambassador Marina kalyurand, the same nutcases for whatever reason slapped in the face Anatoly Sorokin, Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of Moscow. Here he is on TV screen – pale, with plaster on his forehead, luckless victim of “Russian Renaissance”. Not the first and not the last one.
Of course, violence, roughness, hooliganism the real politics fraught with, as well as knife-fight, drunkenness and breaking of shop-windows regarding the ashes of the dead soldiers are not needed for so-called heads of projects and persons in charge for finances. The formula of participation of creative intelligentsia in ideological construction is restricted, as a rule, with consulting and giving a work-out to an item on TV. There is an opinion that everything is not in truth, and moreover not amoral. A secret consensus exists concerning the point, that “the invited specialists” are not ready to get past.
However, the political corporations and “lower” active bodies change their format with artistry of carriage swindler. The first will try to mortar you in real blood, so that you can not replace a customer. As to the “lower” active bodies, for them the permanence of unsolved problem is important, in order to keep “workplaces”.
I personally was a witness of an interesting psychological sketch at one of the meetings taken place in Moscow State University between the activists of “The Young Guards’ and Ivan Demidov, ideological commissar and pluralistically head of the “Russian Project”. A renowned showman, by the way, complained: “They ask me (at the top), what are you going to do?” “To discuss Russian question”, I answer. “We have found some themes for discussions”. “It’s good to discuss, but what are you going to do?” “You suggest that we should take bats? I ask”.
Found himself in the role of hired performer, the TV star did not conceal his offence and even some perplexing anxiety. After all, a polemical sharpening in discussions is a good thing and “Russian project” was initially verbalized in about ten questions, the first of them sounded as following: “Russia for the Russians?” The activists, though…… had taken the question away right then.
Today the Russians are scattered all over the world like the new Gypsies. They arrived to “civilized countries” with different waves of emigration, escaping of paroxysms of their own state. Someone is returning, as prospects can be seen at home. Nevertheless, concealed emigration continues to be until now.
The elite and even a small business, giving no credence to zigzags of political course, observing with silent mockery the theatre of the absurd in parties and the parliament, amazed by OMON (Special Purpose Detachment of Militia) with German shepherd dogs in the streets of Moscow, provide themselves with European passports, forming the elite communities abroad or purchasing “with room for growth” the abandoned lodging in Bulgaria. Voting for “Unified Russia”, but being realists many fathers send their kids even to Latin America to reduce risk of military recruitment. And at the very same time the temptation arises in someone’s mad head to use the Russian communities as a key factor of pressure for “the power, gaining voice”, leaving millions of their fellow-citizens vulnerable. What a meanness!
